Online Registration

If you have subscribed to the the Online Website module of EasyVend, new customers are able to register online. When a customer registers, you receive an email advising you of the registration, including the name and contact details of the person registering. The Online Registration option in the Customer menu is used to either:

  • Accept the registration and add the customer to your customer list, or
  • Reject the registration

Using the Online Registration screen

To view online registrations:

  • Select Online Registration from the Customer menu
  • If necessary, enter a date range of the registrations to see, and click Search
  • The screen will list details of customers who have registered online, and show their status:
    • New: Awaiting acceptance (or rejection)
    • Done: Registration has been accepted and a new customer record created
    • Rejected: Registration was rejected
  • For customers who have been accepted, the Linked Customer column will contain the Customer Code of the customer record created for that registration

  • Click on any registration in the list to view the details
    • For registrations with a status of Done, in the details tab you can click on the customer code in the Linked Customer field; the customer details screen for that registration will open in a new browser tab

To accept or reject a new registration:

When someone registers via your website, an email is sent to your email address in Company Details, advising you of the new registration. To see the registration and accept or reject it:

  • Select Online Registration from the Customer menu
  • Click on the new registration in the list to open the details tab
  • To accept the registration as a new customer:
    • Click Create Online Customer and answer Yes when asked to confirm
    • When you accept the new registration:
      • A new customer record is created
      • The details tab in Online Registration is updated:
        • Status is changed to Done, and
        • The Linked Customer Field contains a link the newly created customer record
      • An email is sent to the customer inviting them set up a password and use your Online Ordering Website

    • Click on the Customer Code in the Linked Customer field to open the customer details in a new tab
      • Update and save the customer's details as necessary

  • To reject a registration, click Reject
    • If an existing customer registers, you should reject that registration to avoid having duplicate records for the same customer
    • If the existing customer does not yet have an online account, you can invite them online by clicking Invite Online in the customer's details screen.
